History
NYBL Pilipinas, officially known as the National Youth Basketball League – Pilipinas, was founded by Fernando B. Arimado. The organization was established with the goal of nurturing young basketball talents in the Philippines by providing them with competitive platforms that adhere to international standards. Basketball is immensely popular in the Philippines, and NYBL Pilipinas capitalizes on this by organizing events that aim to elevate the level of youth basketball in the country.
One of the notable achievements of NYBL Pilipinas is its role in organizing the International Youth Basketball Championship (IYBC). The first IYBC event was held in April 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand, where it successfully brought together 41 competitive teams from various ASEAN countries. Building on this success, NYBL Pilipinas is set to host the second edition of the IYBC in December 2023 at Xavier School in Metro Manila. This event will feature young athletes from both local and international teams, providing them with valuable exposure and the opportunity to enhance their skills by competing against diverse playing styles
